Guys are starting to fall in place. Care to make predictions on Bryce Harper and Manny Machado?
Mine are: Harper to the Nats, 10 years $350M with plenty of deferred. Machado to the Phils. 10 years, $325M.
I would like to wait until these 2 sign, if possible, before starting our free agency. Hopefully it is soon. I am hopeful that after Harper's mtg with the Phils Saturday, he makes a decision soon.

I think the Phillies or White Sox sign both for 10 years, 300m each. I can see both signing for the same deal.

I don’t think either gets more than 7 years. Thinking: Machado - White Sox for 7 Harper - Nats for 7

It's reported that the White Sox offer for Machado is 7 for $175. Haha, cmon man, how can you offer nearly half then what he's asking for? I don't see him taking less than $200m or $30m annually.

He has got to be sweating now that his best suitor is now dancing with Bryce.

With all the infielders Yankees added, they're probably out of it. He better hope for a "mystery team" to come through for him.

Amen Nic! 10 yrs ago Jim Pohlad vowed to spend approx 50% of revenue on player salaries. It hasn't been happening. In 2017 Twins grossed $261m. Their payroll is about $100m currently. They could offer Machado 10 yrs $250m.

Its starting to look like the Twins payroll won't even match 2018. One would think that they could spend some money with Mauers contract off the books.

It amazes me that the Braves aren't in on Harper/Machado. They both would be a great fit to take them to the next level.

Just seems like with the price they were asking it really limited the number of teams that could realistically afford them. Makes for an awfully narrow market and I think owners and GMs are very hesitant to go that many years and dollars. My prediction is they both settle for shorter term deals with opt outs and we are doing this again in a few years.

Manny to the Padres. 10/$300. See what Harper does now.
