Really glad the Rockies were able to keep Arenado. I lived there for 10 years, and watched him come up and develop into a great player. Seemed like he had a couple highlight defensive plays a game. The front office has had some mis-steps (like the Desmond contract) but overall has done a solid job the last few years accumulating talent. Coors Field isn't an elaborate stadium, but appealing, and with the mostly perfect Colorado summer evenings (mild, low humidity, no bugs) and a view of the Rocky Mountains off to the west it's a great place to watch baseball. Also they have a good local broadcast crew that makes it fun following them throughout the season. And it's good for MLB that a smallish market team will be likely a legit contender for the next few years.

Teams are signing guys up for extensions because no one wants to dry up on the vine of free agency.
