Here are the details...
Players who have not reached 50 IP / 130 AB in any single season below will be eligible once they reach 50 IP / 130 AB this season.
We start the season with reverse order of standings, with sanctions also figured in, then every successful claim moves you to the bottom and every one else moves up a notch. I would keep the order on a thread on here.
The owner who has the rights to the prospect can always add them to their MLB roster at any point without having to make a claim.
We use a system like "open waivers." We start the season by using a waiver order that is reverse of last season's standings. This seems like a fair way to start. Next, when a player reaches rookie limits, we still come on this site to place a claim.
Let's use Eloy Jimenez. as an example, because I am sure he would generate interest if he wasn't on an MLB roster when he hit 130AB. If he reaches 130 AB in the 2nd inning, anyone can come on here to place a claim. For example, let's assume no claims have been made during the season and I put in the claim for him (still sitting at #9 in waiver order). The one week time-clock starts the second a claim is made and expires exactly 1 week after the FIRST claim. At this point, the only team I outrank is Fenway Faithful. We would still have the 1 week claim window, BUT now, someone with higher waiver priority can place a claim. It keeps going for a week, and whoever has the highest waiver priority at the end of that week is successful with the claim. So, if Zzyxx and the Bucs place a claim after me, the Bucs would be awarded the claim. At that point, the successful team (Bucs) is moved to the bottom of the waiver order, and no other teams will be dropped in the order.
This can help you enjoy your life without being glued to the game every pitch, and I think it might actually help increase activity on here during the season.
Waiver order is posted below:
Updated 8/9
1) Friar Yawkey's Cards
2) M M M Mike Soroka
3) Oldsmobile Drivers
4) Fenway Faitful
5) Joe Buck Yourself (4/13 claim of Brandon Lowe)
6) Murphy's Law (5/29 claim Spencer Turnbull)
7) StatCast Crushers 2.0 (6/7 claim of Bryan Reynolds)
8) Ice Dragons (7/5/19 claim of Willians Astudillo)
9) Angels in the Troutfield (8/5 claim of Luis Arraez)
10) Operation Rot Storm (7/24 claim of Nicky Lopez, followed by 8/8 claim of Taylor Clarke)
How to make your claim:
1) Create a NEW thread in the 2019 folder with the player name.
2) Within that new thread, post the player name and the name of the team that is making the initial claim.
3) The 1 week window starts from the time the first claim is made. Anyone else who has higher waiver priority and wants can add a claim to the same player. Also, the owner who has rights to the player can add the player any time before the 1 week window has expired.
4) At the conclusion of the 1 week window, whichever team has the highest waiver priority will be awarded the claim.
5) The successful team moves to the bottom of the waiver order and all teams can move up a slot.
