So it appears as McKay has managed to somehow alter the space-time continuum and clone himself into a completely separate human being as far as ESPN is concerned. He has demanded that both he and his clone play together and take up 2 roster spots. WTF?...Is there a commissioner tool to decouple the clones? I own him in my MiLB roster but would prefer to keep him down if I have to use 2 roster spots in order to enjoy his 5.21 era.

Since he is considered a pitcher and a batter he's on your roster twice, so now you have 41 players on your roster (not counting IL players). He can only be played as a hitter or pitcher, but can't be in your starting line-up as both at the same time. Ohtani is the same way for me.

I had Michael Lorenzen for a while and they did the same with him.

I'm fine with him only being available as hitter OR pitcher, but I just don't want to be forced to use 2 roster spots for him...or Ohtani, Lorenzen, Russell Martin (haha), etc.inc
It's interesting how various platforms have chosen to implement this type of player usage. Yahoo, like ESPN, has 2 players but they are completely separate in that one doesn't have to own both (and therefore they don't take up 2 roster spots). Fantrax just has one player entity that is eligible to fill a P slot or the appropriate batter's slot. This is obviously the most helpful and realistic solution. I wonder how difficult it is on the back-end for Yahoo and ESPN to implement this 'properly'.

It doesn't count against you. Sine pitching and hitting versions are separate, yu have 40 roster spots filled but it treats it like they are 2 players and you get the bonus of a 41 roster spot - no penalty.
