Since spring training is around the corner I thought I would share some memories. Living in Minnesota I have only made it down to Ft Myers Florida one time and it was in 2003. The trip was about 10 days and we saw five games. Some things I remember: * Legendary twins announcer Bob Casey was there. It may have been his last year before he retired. He gave the temperature in Ft Meyers and Minneapolis before every game. When he said it was 80 degrees in Ft Meyers and only five degrees in Minneapolis everyone would cheer. * Hideki Matsui's first ever game in North America was a spring training game against the Twins. I remember the crazy Japanese media. Dan Gladden interviewed Matsui before the game for television and then the media swarmed Gladden. I can only assume to find out what he said. * Two Phillies fans getting info a fight with each other and one stood up and punched the other in the face. Classic Philadelphia fans. * Mike Fetters pitched for the Twins in spring training that year. He was fun to watch on the mound with his deep breath and quick head motion. It was near the end of his career and he did not make the opening day roster. * The Red Sox also play spring training in Ft Meyers. We watched a game vs the Twins in the Red Sox stadium as well. People I met were Terry Steinbach, Tom Kelly, Paul Molitor, AJ Pierzynski, Michael Cuddyer, and Torii Hunter. Hunter made the biggest impression on me. Class act.

I loved watching Torii Hunter play CF. Amazing player, and from what I have heard, just as nice a guy.
Among Twins, I have met Molitor, LaTroy Hawkins, Jack Morris. All were pretty nice.
