Hey guys,
How have you been effected by the Covid-19 dilemma? Yesterday was my first day without students at the high school I teach at. We reported for work for a brief meeting, and we are not required to report again until 4/20 at the earliest. This is crazy, and on top of it all, no sports to distract us. I was just wondering how everyone is doing, and I hope you and your families manage this crisis well. Stay healthy and safe.

My kids are off school until at least March 30th, though I expect it will be longer than that, otherwise it's been business as usual. As of now there are no reported cases in my county, but surrounding counties have been hit with the virus so it's just a matter of time until it get into my area. Like you said, having no sports to turn to makes it that much worse, and now having no choice but to talk to my wife. Just make sure you wash your hands, keep your distance from other the best you can and try your best to avoid contact. Stay safe and we'll eventually get back to normality.

Wow..that long, bri? Schools here in Philly are closed until march 30th like Neil. I'm hoping it doesn't go longer. Wife works at dentist and they're closed until the 30th too so she's home schooling him which isn't easy. God bless all teachers. It's not easy. My bank is still open and doesn't seem like it's gonna close but everyone there is nervous with seeing so many people come in each day. We just gotta all hope for the best and try to stay safe and not get bored without sports.

Pretty much the same here...Extended spring break until March 30th. Subject to change at any time, all large gatherings canceled including the state high school tournament which was down to the semi-finals. Restaurants closed to dine in customers and grocery store shelves bare. No positive cases in my county so far either. Other than that the daily grind continues, just ready for things to get back to normal.

My university is switching to online classes for the remainder of the semester after our extended spring break ends. I work in the university archives and we were just told today that we likely won't be able to come in at all for the rest of the spring semester, which isn't great because I'm not in a position that lends itself to working remotely. Not much to do down here now.

I hope everyone is hanging in there. It's not gonna be an easy road for the next few weeks or months. Especially without baseball or any sports , for that matter.

I’m in the final year of my career with the military and stationed 2 hours away from my family. Had to get a exception to the DoD policy in order to travel home on the weekends. We won’t be shutting down and have been setting up quarantine locations as a precaution for now. My wife is a high risk case and fortunately was approved to work from home, but today her entire company got cut to 25-30 hour work weeks. Hoping this doesn’t last long as I’d like to retire on a high note.

Well yesterday the state forced my wife to close her hair salon. I understand why... however; its frustrating as hell because she has worked so hard to open her own business and build it. Now we get to figure out how to live on one salary for at least the next 40 days while the people throwing out these mandates go to work and get paid. She was offered a "low interest small business loan to help out in this time of need"...sure, let us take on some debt while we are at it. Crazy.

Sorry to hear that Jerrod. Last night the Governor of PA just shut down all non-essential businesses, luckily me and my wife do not fall under that category. She works at the local hospital, so her job will always be open. Being around all the sick people, I'm sure it's just a matter of time until she's infected with the virus.
