I don't know about you guys, but I have felt the IL crunch at times. Last year I had to cut players who went on the IL because I needed to get an active guy on my roster. ESPN only allows a max of 8 IL slots. I think we are trying to simulate real-life organization running, and there is no cap on IL slots in real MLB.
I propose the following: If you need to have more than 8 guys on the IL, you can post their names here so that no one can claim them I will set up a thread for this if we go with it). You then drop them from your roster on ESPN, but you maintain rights to the player. Anyone who is then activated in MLB must be added back on ESPN or they will be subject to the claim process after 1 week (like MiLB players are).
Thoughts?

It certainly would have helped me out last year. My IL slots were overflowing.

Good idea. The claiming process will be done on here? Will there be a separate claim thread for these players? How will the claim order go, same as the Milb where it's worst to first from last season, then have a rolling over once that player is processed or the order of ESPN at the time of the claim?

Right, claiming done on here. I figured we should lump MiLB and MLB claims in one section and we can manage it fairly easily. Truthfully, I doubt we ever get to have a successful claim with MLB, but I will probably be proven wrong. A wanted player is a wanted player, so all claims (MLB and MiLB) would fall under the same umbrella and rules. No separate lists, just one for all claims.

It has been nearly two weeks, and I have seen no opposition. Therefore, I will be adding this to our league for next year. Thanks for your consideration.
