Hi, I just created a new thread where I will post activities that need to be completed throughout the season.
While October begins the "off-season," there is plenty that needs to be done. Please complete all league activity by the end of the month so that we can begin our off-season of trading, etc on time. Don't be the one guy that holds everything up.
1) Please delete all 2022 salaries.
2) Update your salary information as completely as possible for this coming season and years beyond. Remember we will be playing the 2024 season using 2023 salaries.
a) Go to the following link: legacy.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/
b) For each player, click on the team that they were with to start the 2023 season.
c) Once you are there, click on the green link next to 2023.
d) List the 2023 salary and any other years that have details posted. For example, Luis Robert 23: 6 24: 9.5 25: 12.5 26: 15
e) Some players who are not arbitration eligible may not have anything listed beyond 2023, and that is ok.
f) The major league minimum salary for 2023 was $720,000, so use .72 for anyone who does not have a salary listed.
3) Increase your salary cap from $255M to $270M.
4) Look over your MiLB rosters and drop guys you no longer want protected or have met rookie limits of 130 AB or 50 IP. No one who has met rookie limits can remain on your MiLB roster.
5) Do careful research using past MiLB prospects List and transaction to see if you can add new guys to your MiLB.
6) Drop guys you no longer want on your MLB roster and list them on your drop list thread. This could be because they have not performed well and/or their salary has become too large. There is no penalty for dropping anyone at this time.
7) Do not place anyone who is an MLB free agent on your drop list.
