I know in year 1 this was not legal to do, but I believe that having the option of trading salary cap as part of a trade can greatly expand and improve our trading experience in this league. In a salary league I used to be in, it worked great. If the two parties cannot seem to come to a consensus on a trade but really want it to happen, moving salary cap can bridge that gap. Also, if a team finds themselves short of cash midseason and in a bind, this can also help them out, rather than them waving the white flag and tanking.
In addition, teams can pick up part of players' salaries in trades as well, much like they do in real life. For example, if I traded Player X to Bob, then I can agree to pick up Player X's salary (or part of it) for the next year or two as part of the trade with Bob. Again, everyone in my old league loved this feature and it really was a catalyst in getting trades accepted. The only downside to this is that each team will have to create a new page under their team name to keep track of player's salaries they are paying that they do not own anymore. (not a big deal)
This is just a suggestion, I do not know how Brian or you guys feel about this, but I believe it would be an excellent addition to the league.
Thanks for reading

I'm in a league like that and it works out but only picking up salary for that year and the next but there is a limit of what percent it is.

Yep, you have to moderate it somehow.,,In the league I was in it was popular to send nice easy amounts such as 2M,5M, or even 10M as part of a trade when sending straight up salary cap.

I would prefer to stay away from this. I have guys who don't update salaries without a push. I don't want to be the salary cap police. It is best if everyone has the same cap space. If you can't come to agreement on a trade, switch players.

But yeah, it would take extra effort for the people who choose to participate, but if they go the extra mile to craft such a deal then they certainly would update their numbers. For people who don't want to, then they just wouldn't trade cap space. Thanks for reading though, I just figured it would be the time of year to kick ideas around. No problem, thanks Brian.
