There are several things that need to get done.
1) Please pick a team name that is not specific to your organizations. Make it fun! It doesn't make sense to call yourself Seattle/LA/Oakland if after a few months you have traded many of those players away. Once you select a team name, send me a PM and I will set up your team thread.
2) Please read through ALL of the rules and information posted in threads on this site. Jot down questions that you have for me, and send me a PM if you have any questions.
3) Please conduct league business through this site. Send me or others PM's (To do so, click on the members tab. Find the name of the person you want to message. Click on their name. In the upper right corner, you can select "send a message."). You can also use the Shoutbox below if it is a general question or statement for others.
I am hoping to start the franchise draft on Friday. That will give everyone a few days to become acquainted with the info on here, clear up questions, etc. If this is too soon, let me know.
When considering organizations, consider the following:
a) You will get both major and minor league rosters for the organization, so consider the big picture.
b) Free agents will not be on your roster. For example, David Price won't be with the Jays, Zack Greinke will be off the Dodgers roster if he opts out. Even if he re-signs with the Dodgers, he remains a free agent for us to bid on.
Once all 10 of us are registered, I will use a site that generates random draft order. We will all receive an e-mail with the results. I can't control/fix this, so don't worry about me influencing the results. The first two rounds will be snake style. So, whoever is the last pick of round 1 will be the 1st pick of round 2. Snake is only fair if there is an even number of rounds, so I will again use the same site to randomly select the order for the third round.
Thanks!
