I thought I would use this section to post questions that come up along with answers: What are the rules/limits around the cutting players in the offseason process you mentioned? You can cut anyone on your 40man rosters w/o penalty. We will create a list of those players. We will have a window of time where we can still trade them. Anyone left after that period will move to our free agency bidding list. If our player signs extension before contract is up in real life, do we get the extension without the player hitting free agency in this league?Yes! How do players from the first year player draft and international signings each summer get distributed to teams? Do we do our own draft(s) or is it based on the organizations we select at start-up?I believe the first year player draft should defer to the organization you hold rights to. So if the Mets sign their draft picks, they should be under my control. We will have to discuss international free agents. I would lean towards anyone signing a MLB deal goes up for bids, but those signing MiLB deals revert back to organization ownership rights.

Do we need to create our 40 man roster then start trading, or can we trade and have a 40 man roster created by the end of the initial trading period?

We need to finish the draft. Following that, a few days will be allowed to set MLB and MiLB rosters while making sure you are under the salary cap. Trading cannot begin until your roster is approved.

What happens with players who salaries have not been determined by the time we set our 40 man rosters? For example, arbitration eligible players like Kenley Jansen. Do we just estimate their salary at first?

1) Is that 5 SP and 7 RP positions? Must we carry seven guys with an RP designation on our starting roster?
You can always carry less players if you desire, but you can't start more than these on any given day.
2) Say I have a current total salary of $215m. I bid $40m for a player in free agency, and win. To accommodate that player onto my roster, am I able to jettison a player or 4 to get total salary to $240m or less? Or must I have the money available the moment I bid on that player?
You have 24 hours from when the free agent is won to accommodate a free agent addition on your roster (roster space and salary cap). If you do not make a corresponding move to accommodate the player, you will be charged $2.00 cap for the year, and the player is re-posted. (The league will be PM'ed in the event of this so everyone will know a player is available again). You can drop more than one player if needed to get in under the cap.

Question: I saw you have on your trading block any player you are dropping. Aren't those players...well dropped? How can you retain the rights to players to trade them if you are dropping them?
When do they become "dropped". I would have thought at midnight.
No, we will have a few weeks to trade guys off of our drop list. Once the lock down date passes, all guys remaining will be up for free agency bidding.

not sure if i read this or not but, if i did, i forgot - lets say i make like a 4 for 1 trade or i just get tired of a player on my team. can i just drop him right now? if so, how do i announce in on the boards or do it?
Any time between now and free agency, you can add a player to your drop list. No issues, they will be added to the free agency pool.
okay, cool. and after free agency starts how would that work?
You can still drop them, but they can only be added by someone on ESPN once the season starts.

What happens to prospect cuts like Austin Barnes, c, LAD?
Does he revert back to Rot Storms farm system (or whoever traded for him) or is he permanently a free agent?
Prospects can only become property of another team if:
A) They are traded from one owner to another
OR
B) They reach the majors and still are not on the owner's MiLB roster. At this point, you can claim the player and add him to your MLB roster here as well as on ESPN.
